Terms of sale and use
These terms cover buying and using Forge Tweaks and FrameForge (“the software”). By installing or using either, you agree to them. If you don’t, don’t install it — and if you’ve already paid, ask for a refund and you’ll get one.
Who you are dealing with
The software is made and supplied by Forge Tweaks, based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. You can reach a real person at support@forgetweaks.com.
Payments are processed by Gumroad, who act as merchant of record and are the seller for the transaction itself. That is the name that will appear on your card statement, and they handle the tax on the sale. We never see or store your card details.
What you are buying
A licence to use the software on your own computers. You are not buying the software itself, and you don’t own the copyright in it.
- Lifetime licences do not expire. Once activated, they keep working without any further contact with us.
- Monthly licences remain valid while your subscription is active. The software checks periodically that the subscription is still running; if you cancel, the licence stops working at the end of the period you have paid for.
- Licences are issued per PC. Changing your GPU, CPU, RAM or drives doesn’t invalidate one. Reinstalling Windows does — email us and we will reissue it free.
- Don’t resell, share, publish or sublicense your licence key, and don’t try to defeat the licensing.
What the software does to your computer
Forge Tweaks changes Windows settings — registry values, service start types, power plan settings, network adapter settings, and scheduled tasks. Every change is listed in the app before it runs, nothing is applied without you approving it, the original value of each setting is recorded before it is changed, and a Windows restore point is created before the first change of a session. One button puts everything back to the values it found.
FrameForge installs a d3d11.dll proxy into your FiveM plugins folder, which loads into the game process and adds frame generation. Removing the file removes the software completely.
Read this before buying FrameForge
FrameForge works by loading into the game’s process. This is against FiveM’s terms of service. Individual servers and their anti-cheat systems may detect it, and the possible consequences include being kicked, banned from a server, or banned more broadly — decisions made by parties we have no control over and cannot appeal on your behalf.
We do not hide from anti-cheat, and we do not claim it is undetectable. If keeping access to a particular server matters more to you than frame rate, do not install it. Choosing to use it is your decision and the risk is yours.
What we promise, and what we don’t
Any performance figures we publish — on the website, in the app, or in the documentation — were measured on specific hardware which we name. Your results will differ. How much you gain depends on how much was wrong to begin with, and on a clean, modern, fast machine the honest answer may be “very little”. We build the benchmark into the software precisely so you can check rather than take our word for it.
We don’t promise the software is free of faults, or that it will work with every game, driver, overlay, or future Windows update. Frame generation is known not to work alongside RTSS and MSI Afterburner overlays.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for anything a third party decides to do to your game account. Where we are liable, our liability is limited to what you paid us for the software.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If you are a consumer, you have guarantees that cannot be excluded — the software must be fit for purpose and match its description. Where those guarantees apply, they apply regardless of anything written above.
Updates and changes
Updates are included. We may change the software over time, and we may change these terms — if we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the software after a change means you accept it.
Ending the licence
You can stop using the software and uninstall it at any time. We may end your licence if you breach these terms — most obviously by sharing or reselling keys — and in that case no refund is due.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Australia, and by the state in which we are based.
